With brash styling, a new engine and great suspension the Mistubishi Lancer Evo-X is one of the most exciting sedans to hit the market in 2008. Part of that excitement is also the price. The base-level GSR will come in at $34,000 and come with 295-hp and 300-ft.lbs. of torque. While comparisons between the Evo-X and the Subura Impreza WRX STI will continue on for many our choice has been made.

Suzuki has just unveiled the new livery for its 2008 WRC car. The driver line-up is good, mixing the experience of Gardemeister with the youthful exuberance of PG Andersson. Hopefully the team can deliver. It looks pretty good, don’t you think?

The Suzuki Aerio is a surprisingly fun and enjoyable car, even though, in some ways, it’s a throwback. The interior is refreshingly spartan, without such frills as a covered center console or power leather seats, but it’s clean and well executed, with an incredibly high roof providing a sense of spaciousness. The small but well-designed instrument panel includes a tachometer, gas and temperature gauges, speedometer, and odometer - all digital. The climate controls are simple but effective, unpretentious and useful. Performance is good enough to be fun, not good enough to challenge sports cars, but certainly more than enough for most people, even with the automatic.

At the 2008 Tokyo Auto Salon, Mugen are showcasing an Inspire with the their new range of upgraded parts.
We observe the upgraded body-kit which exaggerates the Inspire’s styling. This includes a front grill, front spoiler, side skirts, rear spoiler and an oversize rear wing. Performance upgrades are limited, but include a new muffler, larger disc brakes and upgraded spring/damper struts.

Some complete photos of Mazda’s Furai have been released and we can’t wait for more thorough details when it gets an official debut at Detroit.
Mazda Furai is built up on a Courage chassis that Mazda ran in the American Le Mans Series a few seasons back. But wait, it gets better. How about a three rotor Wankel punching out around 450 HP.

The Suzuki SX4 is the latest in a series of possible comeback cars from a company most Americans are only dimly aware of.
The little car is available in more varieties than many bigger sellers, offering among other things a wagon/hatchback variant and all wheel drive; but more than anything, it should firmly put memories of the late Samurai to rest.

The MAZDASPEED6 is Mazda’s all-new high-performance all-wheel-drive sedan, based on the Mazda6 sedan. The MAZDASPEED6 comes in two trim levels: Sport and Grand Touring. With looks very similar to the Mazda6, the MAZDASPEED6 has an all-new front and rear fascia, hood, front fenders and taillights.
The hood sticks out to accommodate the intercooler and a hood scoop has been integrated to feed outside air into the engine. Extended side skirts, twin tailpipes, a lip spoiler and lightweight 18-inch alloy wheels with high-performance tires help complete the aerodynamic look to the body. The MAZDASPEED6 rides lower than a standard MAZDA6 and the double-wishbone front and rear multi-link suspension setups have been tweaked to further enhance handling.
