For the first time in a Hyundai, the 2022 Elantra N has an Integrated Drive Axle (IDA), inspired by technology found in WRC rally cars. By integrating the drive shaft, wheel hub and bearing, a weight reduction of 1.72 kg enables a lighter and stronger drive train. Hyundai also added a dual compound isolator to the front suspension for the first time. This, together with the dual-compound trailing arm bushing, achieves optimal performance in terms of driving behavior and handling as well as noise, vibrations and harshness (NVH).
