The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is one of the best-selling cars in the premium hatchback segment, consistently bring in volume for the automaker and on the list of the top 10 best selling cars for each month. The modest Baleno is also a very popular vehicle in the aftermarket modification scene and we have already seen numerous examples of tastefully modified Maruti Balenos on the Internet. Here we have yet another example of a tastefully modified one Maruti Suzuki Baleno, only this is a digital rendering.

This rendering of this modified Baleno was created by digital rendering artist Shoeb. R. Kalania and was uploaded to his Youtube channel. This modified Baleno rendering is a nice mix of cross-hatch and hot-hatch design elements. The most prominent upgrade was the hatchback. It gets a completely new grille and bumper. The front apron looks much sportier and more aggressive thanks to new air openings on the edges of the bumper and a solid center apron.

Heck, the front bumper even has a subtle little splinter. There are several other darkened elements around the air vents on the bumper that add to the aggressive look. The new round fog lights on the bumper are somewhat reminiscent of the Nissan Juke. The grille has also been blackened out and has new details that look much sharper. In profile, the biggest update of the hatchback is a new wheelset. The two-tone 10-spoke light alloy wheels impress with their stylish, sporty design and are wrapped with low-profile tires that look quick.

2019 BalenoEven as standard, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is a good-looking car.

As far as its design elements are concerned, the Baleno has a subtle body panel over the wheel arches and on the sides. In fact, there are some distinctive side panels that also give the hatchback a more aggressive and sporty stance. It has also been fitted with roof rails that complete the cross-hatch look. The gloomy shade of gray and the contrasting black elements of the bumper, the body panel, the roof rails and the door handles ultimately create a very unique and attractive look.

Aside from the cosmetic modifications, this Baleno doesn’t seem to have any mechanical upgrades. Under the hood, the Baleno is powered by a 1.2-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with a naturally aspirated engine that generates 82 hp and 113 Nm maximum torque. This engine is also available with Maruti’s Smart Hybrid technology, which increases power up to 89 hp. The Baleno is also the only hatchback in its segment that has a mild hybrid system. For transmission tasks, you can choose between a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic transmission.
