The number of Chinese companies listed on the US stock markets has risen 14 percent in the past seven months, despite increased efforts by Washington to restrict market access to companies that are classified as a security threat. As of May 5, up to 248 Chinese companies were listed on the stock exchange. Major US stock exchanges – Nasdaq, New York Stock Exchange, and NYSE American – rose from 217 on October 2. This emerges from a report released Thursday by the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission.
