Haval F7 SUV in the spotlight when GWM India’s website goes live


The Chinese auto giant Great Wall Motors (GWM) has been working on its India strategy for some time. Until a few months ago, it looked like the automaker would have to continue working on its strategy for entering the Indian automotive market. However, Great Wall of China engines just went live with its India website. This is a bit of a surprise, as it used to pinpoint the flaws in its strategy, especially those caused by the circumstances of the past year or so.

Currently, along with the usual company details and details, the GWM India website has put a specific model in the spotlight, the Haval F7 SUV. The SUV is a popular offering from the automaker in international markets and is purely a gasoline offering. The Haval F7 is available with two petrol engines, a 1.5 liter and a 2 liter engine.

The first of the two engines produces 150 hp and 280 Nm peak power and torque, while the last 2 liter engine has a maximum output of 190 hp and 340 Nm respectively. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is the only transmission option for both engines in the Haval F7.

No official dates have currently been announced for the launch of the GWM Haval F7 in India. It has been speculated that the Chinese automaker is considering bringing the SUV to India via the CBU route until it sets up manufacturing operations here.
