Hero MotoCorp has announced that it will revise the ex-showroom prices of Hero Xpulse 200, Xtreme 160R and other motorcycles and scooters upwards. The new prices apply from July 1, 2021.

Reason for price increase

Hero MotoCorp said the price hike was necessary to partially offset the impact of a steady rise in commodity prices. The company continues to drive cost-saving programs to minimize the impact on customers. The price increase on motorcycles and scooters will be up to INR 3,000 and the exact amount of the increase will depend on the model and the specific market.

For reference, the Hero Xpulse 200, one of the company’s most popular models, is currently selling for INR 1,18,230. If it gets a price increase of INR 3000 it will then be available for INR 1.21.230. Similarly, the very stylish Hero Xtreme 160R falls in the price range of INR 1.07.490 – INR 1.12.340, which would increase to INR 1.10.490 – INR 1.15.340 if the company decides to increase the price by INR 3,000 .

In other news, details of the new Hero Glamor XTEC have been leaked online. Based on previous reports, the upcoming bike would come with 3 new matte color options – Techno Black, Gray Blue and Gray Red. It would also feature a new LED headlight and a fully digital instrument panel with Bluetooth connectivity. Hero MotoCorp’s Auto Sail technology is also expected to be included.
