This equates to a nearly four-fold increase in sales (386%), and the Magnite can easily be understood to have contributed to those numbers. Nissan currently only has three models on offer in India – the Magnite, Kicks and the GT-R. The kicks only brings reasonable numbers for Nissan and shows its age given the newer competition. Meanwhile it is GT-R sports car only sells a handful, if any.

All New Nissan Magnite First Review Interior DashbThe Nissan Magnite offers a great mix of affordability and value that few in its segment offer.

Earlier this month, Nissan announced that they had reached the milestone of producing 10,000 units for the Magnite in India. In March 2021, Nissan announced that they had received over 40,000 bookings for the Magnite, a number that is certainly much larger by now. The demand for the Magnite is obviously much greater than Nissan can satisfy. The automaker is expected to have delivered only 1/4 of the total number of orders received. This has resulted in an unusually long wait time on the Magnite, which in certain cities extends to several months. Even so, Nissan is working at full capacity at its manufacturing facility to reduce waiting times.

In conversation with our dealers in some major cities, we learned that the non-turbo variants of the Magnite are much more in demand than the turbo petrol variants, which means that they also have a longer waiting time. The main reason for this is that the non-turbo variants offer the best mix of affordability and value that the Magnite has to offer. Our dealer sources have also determined that the XL mid-range fairings and XV second-class fairings are seeing maximum demand. That said, while folks are opting for the base spec engine because of its affordability, they don’t want to entirely miss out on the features and value that the Magnite offers in its higher-end trim levels. The prices for the Nissan Magnite are currently between 5.49 lakh and 9.90 lakh (from the showroom).
